Bulletin: A holdup at the bank of Time;

TTTTT - In observing the Latin phrase 'Tempus Fugit,' we see that the English 'Time Flies,' and its progeny adequately observe the fleeting aspect of time without properly attending on the occult nature of its seclusion. In our American culture, we make all possible efforts useful in saving time. When we do the old, 'cost\benefit' analysis, we use time as a factor of production just like money, labor and other resources. If analysis itself paralyzes us we lose time then as well, and avoid this failing for that reason. On this earth, a lack of intellect that is otherwise debilitating can make amends for itself in actions taken when others are involved in analysis paralysis. This is my romantic appreciation of none other than Cowboy Quarterback, Tony Romo's, girlfriend Jessica Simpson. When I observed that she could not be intimidated enough to fail observations about her God (Her father is a notable Baptist minister,) my comment that she was not subject to analysis paralysis was considered pejorative in nature, and extending it to include then President Bush 43 did not improve matters. Better intellect can make our efforts more time-efficient in return, and other than that, all players play the hand they are dealt. A classroom for the study of time\effort cost benefit analysis is the field of Computing. If writing a paper takes time, a Word processor usually improves the result, without actually alleviating the time contributions necessary for substantive discourse. In another area, computers save time like the Mack Truck transportation system does, all loading, unloading and backhauling notwithstanding. To simplify the communication of this, I have devised the humorous example of a temporal sponge. 'Computers save time like a sponge... they soak it up when you write the program, and then release it in a stream when you run the program later.' The intuitively understood truth of this derives from the time saved, not by running then program once, but by harvesting time-saving like a bank account in running the program hundreds of times in a lifetime, and making use of informational results of data. To keep it in perspective, knowledge : information :: information : data. A special application of these principles is due to come up in the field of Quantum computing. If I had to compute 'Chess,' I would expect to do it once, and keep the data lying around on cheap new terabyte hard drives. Here a qubit based box would be called for, if expense were cost effective. However by examining the problem of locating a single move (which I could devise myself,) OR sieving out a winning strategy, we approach comprehending the coming problems of SEARCH in a quantum computing environment. For those concerned with the brute force attack effect of Quantum computations on Cryptology, Quantum environments come ready-made with two new forms of 'privacy,' one called particle entanglement, and another that derives from the up\down spin characteristic of Quantum particles, photons among them. In closing, two things:

1. SEARCH may need to take its place in the history of Computing as a 'killer app.' Google did it, but Wiki-soda system showed that it was not an artifact.

2. The Movie 'Quantum of Solace' properly derives the melancholy of its name not from a two\state analysis of the Solace in question, but rather from the correct meaning of the word 'quantum...' "The smallest observable or measurable unit."
